What is Model United Nations?
Model United Nations is an educational simulation and academic activity through which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. Participants in Model United Nations conferences, known as delegates, are placed to a committee and assigned a country that they represent throughout the conference.
What is the procedure of the conference?
Conference procedure will be the THIMUN procedure.
When will the conference be held?
This year’s annual session of the Kabataş Model UN Conference will be held between May 13 – 16, 2022.
Where will the conference be held?
The conference will be held physically in Kabataş Erkek High School.
Will the pandemic situation affect the conference?
Yes, our Executive Team has prepared the safety measures to ensure our participants’ health, which all of our participants are obliged to obey.
How can I apply?
After carefully checking the deadlines, you can apply via the forms that can be found in the Apply! page.
How and when will I learn if I am accepted?
Within 10 days after you send us the application, you will receive an email notifying you that your application has been received. (Please notify us if you haven’t received it after 10 days.) We evaluate applications altogether AFTER the deadline passes. Thereafter, you may expect an email from us in 3-4 weeks.
What is the schedule like for a participant?

What are the committees of the conference?
There are nine different committees with a wide range of subjects. Please check out the Committees page for further information!
Is there a dress code?
Yes, all participants must wear formal clothes throughout the conference.
